Come and learn from the Source of Bikram “Hot” Yoga, Bikram Choudhury, as he lectures on the Philosophy of Yoga, does an all day Posture Clinic going through, in detail, all of the 26 postures of Bikram’s  Beginning Hatha Yoga Class, with demonstrations and individual corrections to anyone who wants it, questions and answers, and finishing  with a 90 minute Master Class to apply what was learned.  It’s open to everyone, accessible to anyone, even if you’ve never done Bikram’s or any Yoga before.  There will be an 45 minute lunch break, and a special dinner afterwards for Certified Bikram Yoga Teachers. Bikram is doing fewer Seminars, doing more lectures instead, and hasn’t done a Seminar in So. Calif. since 2001.  Don’t miss this rare opportunity to learn directly from Bikram.

All Proceeds from this Seminar will go to funding an Endowment for Ghosh’s College of Physical Culture and Yoga, in Kolkata (Calcutta), West Bengal, India.  Ghosh’s College was opened in 1923 by Bikram’s guru, Bishnu Charan Ghosh, and is currently run by his son Biswanath Ghosh.  It is the school where both Bikram and Rajashree Choudhury, as well as many other great Yogis and Bodybuilders began, trained, and learned Yoga.  For most of the 20th Century, it was one of the most highly regarded Centers of Hatha Yoga in the world.  It is where Bikram formed the foundation of Bikram Yoga.  The Endowment will help support and keep the Club open and  operating perpetually.  This is an opportunity to not only learn and spend a day with the Source of Bikram Yoga, but to contribute and give back to where it all began.

This Seminar will qualify for Bikram Teacher

RE-CERTIFICATION

To qualify for Re-Certification, you must attend the Seminar, plus an additional lecture from Rajashree, after Bikram’s Seminar, on Yoga Teaching Ethics, and other subjects relevant to Bikram Teachers Re-Certification.  This additional lecture will be only for Bikram Teachers registered for Re-Certification. Rajashree’s lecture will be held on Sunday, Feb. 24th,  at 8:00am at Bikram’s Yoga College of India, San Diego. 

A Teachers Only Dinner will be held Saturday night, after the Seminar. This dinner will be for Bikram Teachers only, no guests or other Seminar participants.  Regular Bikram’s Yoga classes will be offered free to any participating Teachers at 10:00am and 12:00pm (noon) on the morning of Sunday, February 24th.  To add additional registration for Re-Certification to the Seminar, please see the next page of this website  (“Seminar Updates”) for information on what to do.

    There will be no additional fees for Re-Certification beyond the Seminar Registration fee. Remember, you must be Re-Certified every 3 years to maintain active Certification to teach Bikram’s Beginning Yoga Class.
